Servicing the domestic market for over 50 years & the international market for over 30 years

The O’Driscoll Family has been farming in the Grass Valley region since 1870, with the current farm being purchased in 1946.  The farm traditionally focused on the production of hay with the manufacturing of chaff beginning in 1970 to service the domestic market under the name O’Driscoll Produce.  In 1981 an opportunity arose to expand into the export market. Since then we have supplied chaff and equine products to numerous destinations throughout the world including, Indonesia, Kuwait, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom. We have gained a reputation during this time for both excellent quality and professional service.

Maintaining the O’Driscoll name, O’Driscoll Produce has been proudly handed over from Edward O’Driscoll and his daughter Jennifer in March 2021 to close family; Tim, Damian, and Glen O’Driscoll, along with their sons Jaxon and Bailey. Our Family has been farming in the Wheatbelt for decades now and cannot wait to expand our horizons in the Chaff Industry.

Our focus for many years now has been on the production of wheaten chaff as opposed to traditional oaten. Over the years we have had extensive feedback from our clients in hot climates such as Western Australia and South East Asia that horses in training fed on wheaten chaff as opposed to oaten have significantly less joint inflammation and injuries. We believe that wheaten chaff is a superior option for horse owners and trainers as they have the option to add a scoop of oats to the chaff if they desire.

As both farmers and manufacturers we are able to ensure the strictest quality control measures are met throughout the process, beginning to end. Our staff are expertly trained, with accreditation from the Australian Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (formerly AQIS) for the inspection of grain and plant-based products for export from Australia.
